New York (AP) — A reporter who covered a fake dossier of alleged ties between President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign and Russia is back on his beat.
The Associated Press is reporting that reporter Sabrina Tavernise is returning to her duties at the Times.
The AP reported on Wednesday that Tavernise has been suspended for a month without pay for writing about a phony FBI dossier on Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
She has not commented on the suspension.
The New York Post reported in March that Tavernis work was compromised after a fake document containing unverified information on Trump and the Russians was made public in the months leading up to the election.
Tavernise wrote about it on her blog.
