A prototype of the printer, dubbed the “HP Wireless Printers,” was shown off at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas earlier this month.
The printer has a built-in SD card slot, so it can store up to 300 photos or 10 videos.
That’s enough storage for a full-sized picture or video, with an upload speed of up to 1 gigabit per second.
A battery can last for several hours of video.HP’s website says the company will soon begin offering a version of the “HPL-PX1” printer, which has a similar build quality and storage capacity.
It’ll also offer an SDHC card slot that will let the printer run with up to 16GB of storage, and the company says it will offer an adapter to enable it to print on both SD and SDHC cards.
A HP spokesperson declined to say how much the printer would cost.
We’ll keep you posted.
